Where the yield difference comes from
Both contracts report their fee as a share of rewards: 16% for KTON and 16% for Tonstakers. The rest is how much of each pool is actually staked. Tonstakers keeps Gram aside so it can pay instant withdrawals; KTON keeps nearly everything with validators, pays small exits now from what it keeps aside and the rest at the end of the round.
Over 30 days that came to 13.6% for KTON and 12.7% for Tonstakers; over 90 days, 13.3% and 12.4%. Short windows swing with single rounds, so give the longer one more weight.
Which one to choose
- Choose Tonstakers if you want to leave in minutes rather than hours, or use your staking token across TON DeFi.
- Choose KTON if you can wait up to ~36 hours for larger exits and want a publicly audited, fully staked pool with a fee on rewards only. How KTON works.
