How we compute it
Liquid staking APY (KTON, net)
We call the pool’s get_pool_full_data_raw get-method at the latest block and at the first masterchain block 7, 30 and 90 days earlier, divide total Gram by KTON supply to get the exchange rate at each point, and annualize the growth over the exact time between the two blocks. Because the fee is taken before the rate updates, the result is net.
Network APY (gross)
From the Elector contract’s past_elections, we take the most recent round that has finished, divide its bonuses by its total stake, and compound that over the rounds a staked Gram can join in a year (one every 2 × 65,536 seconds).
Validators and stake
From TON Center’s validator cycle index: the size of the current validator set, the total stake and the lowest stake that won a seat.
How a round works
- 1Election
Validators send their stakes to the Elector contract. The window closes about 2.3 hours before the round starts.
- 2Validation
The elected set (now 377 validators) signs blocks for one cycle of 65,536 seconds, about 18.2 hours.
- 3Hold
Stakes stay frozen for about 9.1 hours after the round, so misbehaviour can still be punished.
- 4Payout
Stake plus rewards come back. The same Gram can join every other election, so it earns about 241 times a year.
