KTON liquid staking
KTON is the liquid staking protocol our team built after years of running public TON pools. You deposit Gram, receive the KTON token, and each KTON redeems for more Gram after every round. Over the last 30 days that came to 13.6% a year after fees, measured on-chain.
Same 16% fee as Tonstakers, which holds 80.8% of liquid-staked Gram, and a higher measured yield: 13.3% against 12.4% over 90 days, 13.6% against 12.7% over 30. Moving from tsTON.
- Publicly auditedThe KTON V2 contracts were reviewed by TonBit in 2025, and the report is public.
- No code change without noticeThe upgrade role is switched off: turning it back on shows on-chain and then waits 48 hours. Tonstakers, Stakee and Hipo can change their code without a wait. The contracts are open source.
- A fee on rewards only16% of rewards, never of your principal. No deposit fee; a standard withdrawal costs only network gas.
- From 1 Gram, your walletTonkeeper, MyTonWallet, Wallet in Telegram, OKX and other TON Connect wallets, or the Telegram Mini App.
KTON keeps almost every deposited Gram working with validators instead of parking an idle buffer, and that is where its yield comes from. You can withdraw now from the little Gram the pool keeps aside, for a 0.2% fee; anything larger settles when the current round ends, up to about 36 hours. If you need to move large amounts out in minutes, a protocol with a bigger buffer may suit you better. See the comparison.
Running a treasury, fund or vesting schedule? KTON Premium offers staking with vesting contracts for investors, fund managers and digital-asset treasuries.
How KTON works
- 1
You deposit Gram
Your Gram goes into the public KTON pool, which mints KTON to your wallet at the current exchange rate (1.0830 Gram per KTON today).
- 2
The pool lends to validators
For each round the pool lends Gram to validator operators through controller contracts, within per-validator limits. They stake it with the TON Elector.
- 3
The round settles
After the round the stake returns and the loan is repaid with interest. That interest, minus the 16% governance fee and a 1 Gram round fee, is added to the pool.
- 4
Your KTON is worth more Gram
Pool Gram grows while KTON supply stays the same, so the exchange rate rises for every holder at once. Your balance never changes; its value in Gram does.
That interest is the only source of yield. KTON does not trade, and it does not lend your Gram to DeFi. Because rewards are booked once per round, about 241 times a year, the rate moves in steps rather than continuously.
Unstaking: what to expect
When you unstake, you choose how. Withdraw now: the pool pays from its spare Gram within seconds, for a 0.2% fee, at the current rate (without the profit the round has not booked yet). The spare is small and the app shows how much is available. Wait for the round: the pool issues a payout receipt (an NFT) to your address; when the round settles the receipt is burned automatically and your Gram arrives, up to about 36 hours later, for gas only.
Security and control
- Audit. KTON V2 was audited by TonBit (BitsLab) between April and May 2025: 28 files, 0 critical and 0 major findings, 3 medium and 2 informational. Read the report.
- Open source. The FunC contracts are MIT-licensed on GitHub, so anyone can compile them and compare with what is deployed.
- Governance. Pausing and fee and interest changes are signed by a 3-of-4 multisig. The role that can upgrade the code is switched off: turning it back on is visible on-chain and then waits 48 hours.
- Withdrawals are never lost. A withdrawal the pool cannot cover when the round ends is returned to you as KTON, and you can submit it again.
None of this makes KTON risk-free: smart-contract bugs, validator penalties and governance decisions remain possible. The security chapter of the KTON docs lists the remaining risks in full.

Paste either address into an explorer such as Tonviewer, or call the pool’s get_pool_full_data_raw get-method: total Gram divided by KTON supply is the exchange rate. Our live data page does exactly that and shows the result. KTON is also tracked on DefiLlama.
Who KTON suits, and who it does not
| Good fit | Look elsewhere |
|---|---|
| You want the yield with nothing to manage | You need to move large amounts out within minutes |
| You value a public audit and open-source code | You want to use your staking token for lending or farming |
| You can wait up to one round for larger withdrawals | You hold close to a million Gram and want to validate yourself |
