Gram staking in one minute
- Same coin, same network. Toncoin was renamed Gram in June 2026. Staked Toncoin is staked Gram; there is nothing to swap, claim or migrate. What changed.
- What it pays. Validators earned about 16.8% a year before fees in the last completed round. Over the last 30 days the best liquid staking pool, Hipo, paid 16.5% net; KTON paid 13.4%.
- From 1 Gram. Liquid staking takes small amounts and gives you a token you keep in your wallet. Running your own validator takes about 807.4K Gram to be elected.
Where Gram staking rewards come from
TON pays validators for producing and checking blocks. A validation round lasts about 18 hours, and stake stays frozen for a while after it, so the same Gram joins every other election and earns about 241 times a year. The reward per round depends on how much Gram is staked in total, so the yield drifts as stake comes and goes; it is not a fixed interest rate.
A staking pool passes those rewards on and keeps a share as its fee. That is why the same network yield shows up as different net APYs from pool to pool. The calculator turns a rate into Gram over time, and staking rates shows six months of history for every pool.
Ways to stake Gram
| Minimum | What you hold | Getting out | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Liquid staking | From 1 Gram with KTON; each protocol sets its own | A token (KTON, tsTON, hGRAM, STAKED, stTON…) that redeems for more Gram over time | Unstake through the protocol, or swap the token where it trades |
| Nominator pool | Set by each pool | A position in the pool, not a token | At the end of a round, on the pool’s schedule |
| Your own validator | About 807.4K Gram to be elected | Your stake in the Elector contract | When your round settles |
For most holders liquid staking is the practical choice. Compare the protocols for their audits, fees and exits, or follow the step-by-step guide.
Staking Gram with Tangem, on an exchange or through an ETP
| How it works | What you hold | Costs and limits (per their docs) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tangem Wallet | Built-in staking through Yield.xyz; you choose a validator in the app | Your own stake, signed with your Tangem card | From 10.2 Gram (10 staked, 0.2 for network fees). Only the full amount can be unstaked; rewards come back with it after the unbonding period |
| Exchange, e.g. Bybit On-Chain Earn | The exchange runs the node and the on-chain steps | A balance in your exchange account | Fees vary by product; the APR shown is for reference only; redemptions can wait for the unbonding period |
| 21Shares Gram Staking ETP (ticker GRAM, formerly TONN) | An exchange-traded product bought through a bank or broker | A debt security issued by 21Shares AG, not Gram | 2.50% management fee |
These details come from each provider’s own documentation and can change, so check them before you commit. They are not in our yield table, which measures on-chain liquid staking pools. With a Ledger, stake through Keeper or My Wallet: wallet guide.
Staking Gram in Telegram or your wallet
You can stake Gram from Keeper (formerly Tonkeeper), My Wallet, Telegram’s built-in wallet, Walt (formerly Wallet in Telegram) or any wallet that supports TON Connect: which TON wallet to stake from. Inside Telegram, the KTON Mini App stakes without leaving the chat: Gram staking in Telegram.
What to watch out for
- Staking through a protocol adds smart-contract risk. Prefer open-source contracts with a public audit.
- Check who can change the contract code and how fast: our comparison tests that for each protocol.
- Stake from a wallet you control. Exchange balances cannot be staked on-chain from the exchange account.
